Hence it is important to learn the basic requirement to sharpen tools before you start your work.
It can make a world of difference on your outcome on your project. In a way is can be costly if the tools damage your project material or the final cut is off the mark.
That way it is very essential to sharpen your tools at all times before start work.

Here is a
very simple way to maintain the sharpness of the edge bevelers.
Use a thread
and rub it with an abrasive compound (red jeweler, polish, clears car
scratches, etc.)
Then pass
several times the thread into the groove of the tool.
At the end
rub it on a sharpening leather strope.

I am showing how you can strop a cheap skiving knife to get super results. The
stropping...running the knife over leather with some polishing compound makes a
huge difference.
You can buy
polishing compound on Ebay and Amazon...the green or red is usually for first
stage stropping and the white for final stage.
