This is a non leather project for home improvement.
Have simple idea to add spacer between wooden chair and wall. Use scrap leather material for this project.
This spacer helps to minimize wooden chair scratch mark on the wall paint. The padding spacer is using either sponge with leather (soft leather)
Previous method was to use padded bubble wrap material. Overtime it compresses and weaken so is the gap diminish over time.
Add two layer of leather strip for required thickness to create "gap" or "space" between chair and wall.
Attached with double sided tape to chair.
Attached double sided tape.
Update 12 th Jan 2020.
Found over time the double sticker is not effective and tend to drop off.
Hence try other brand of double sided tape.
