One of the portable clock was not working because the battery is flat. The odd size battery spare was not available.
Use this simple method to overcome replacement.
Confirm the size "C" battery is flat with analog meter
I use a AA size battery but wrap with paper to minimize movement.
Check new battery before replace in clock battery compartment
Verify it work before return to orginal location
