          Had an opportunity to pay a visit (Sat 26th Aug) to  JOHN LOBB shoe shop to experience the workshop and talk to a shoe maker apprentice. It is a very interesting an eye opening visit and personnel pay a visit to this special shoe shop. ジョンロブ靴店を訪れ、ワークショップを体験し、靴職人見習いと話をする機会がありました。 これは非常に興味深い訪問であり、スタッフはこの特別な靴店を訪問します。 

It is really very honor to be able to ask questions with a staff to learn the history of this shop. It is good experience to learn how shoe are make and what type of tools or equipment is required , skill set and how certain tools are more than 1 hundred year old and still applicable to this day. Crafted totally by hand by skilled artisans, the pattern for a pair of bespoke uppers is created by hand specifically for that pair of shoes. 

The pattern is then used to "click" or cut out the leather and then an upper maker carefully and precisely stitches the uppers together.

Non Leather repair, kitchen cabinet door hinge repair - 革以外の修理、キッチンキャビネットのドアのヒンジ修理

     This is a friend's house with it kitchen cabinet with one side of door dropped off. これは友人の家で、片側のドアが外れてしまったキッチンキャビネットがあります。

Discovered the left hand side door hinge is mounted with ONLY one screw and other screw was loosen. The other side of door have one missing screw missing for only the lower hinge. 左側のドアヒンジが1本のネジだけで取り付けられており、他のネジが緩んでいることを発見しました。 ドアの反対側は、下のヒンジのみネジが1本欠品しています。

Previous post under title "Repair Cabinet door hinge problem" dated on 19^th Aug 2023. It almost similar case for this repair. 2023 年 8 月 19 日付けの「キャビネット ドア ヒンジの問題の修理」というタイトルの以前の投稿。この修理とほぼ同様のケースです。

To make life easier, it best practice to remove the affected door hinge. In preparation it is easier to have any device to raise the door leaf when reinstall hinge.  作業を楽にするために、影響を受けたドアのヒンジを取り外すことをお勧めします。 準備として、ヒンジを再度取り付けるときにドアのリーフを持ち上げる装置を用意しておくと簡単です。

Tools required for this repair task.

Premark hinge hole for missing screw spot and use a small pilot drill to assist.

ヒンジ穴に不足しているネジの位置をマークし、小さなパイロット ドリルを使用して補助します。

For the screw hole which was loosen due to be worn off, need to prepare to insert a dowel pin. As for the missing screw hole on hinge refer to above method to prepare repair task.

磨耗して緩んだネジ穴にはノックピンを差し込む準備が必要です。 ヒンジのネジ穴が欠落している場合は、上記の方法を参照して修理作業を準備してください。

This right side door hinge have one screw missing (lower part of hinge). the top hinge is complete with screws.

We have several door closer defectives in our condominium office community , I was surprise why it is not repair and they just buy new unit to replace ONLY.
