Not much inform or update on this subject as the moment. Still in the learning mode and gather information as move forward.
So far after this repair notice there are weakness in the repair method I am using and also have yet to attain some basic skill on shoe repair.
Found the sole part on certain side is showing sign of detach the insole part and sole have gap, which is not good news.

Update on new skill learn. HOW to replace broken zip slider on hand bag.
With help from Luen Wah's lady boss she teach me how to replace broken zipper slider.
*Note:- Sorry some of the initial step was missing on how to gain access to hidden part of the zipper view from inside.
This is a broken zip slider from a hand bag. First you need to determine the size and type of slider needed for replacement. *note lucky this type slider was available from shop.
This is when a new zip slider inserted into hand bag.
What is shown here is how to secure the end with thread.
From inside to sew the expose zipper to the inner lining.

This is a broken zip slider from a hand bag. First you need to determine the size and type of slider needed for replacement. *note lucky this type slider was available from shop.
This is when a new zip slider inserted into hand bag.
Next step is how to secure and prevent the new slider from dropping off.
Hence it is very critical to secure two zip teeth part by sewing or use a end metal end device.
What is shown here is how to secure the end with thread.
From inside to sew the expose zipper to the inner lining.
Shown here is use thread to sew the outer leather to the zipper part. This done to ensure the zipper is secure properly to the bag side.
Look at some old project which need to improve on. One is the TV remote control casing.
The velcro was loosen as the part attached on the plastic sheet have poor adhesive surface. Repair by use thread to hold it in place.

Next is repair work on lady shoe where the rubber is broken off.
