Tips of the day.
Use a sharp self tapping screw to depress the protrusion after using diamond punch to punch hole on veg tan leather.
This will minimize rough edges during stitching work.

Tips of the day ** there is another workaround is use diamond punch until the other face side can see the first punch tip mark. Then on the other side to punch hole again using diamond punch.
hopefully this approach can help resolve issue with uneven punch mark on project.

New coin purse use veg tan leather for the rear portion. The front portion is goat veg tan leather.

Use two tone goat leather for this project

Use cow leather for rear flap, while the front is goat leather.

Tips to on how to sand off part of leather surface for gluing together. This to prepare the raw leather surface for sanding to roughen contact surface.

Use a own make sand paper file like tool

to sand down the surface to make better bond between two leather surface

Sun Glass Cover #1

This is sun glass casing using veg tan leather.
Without this stitching pony device it is very difficult and time consuming to perform saddle stitching method which is very fundamental. It make as more comfortable and less stressful when performing stitching work.
Without this basic tool use as "third hand" make it very useful tool to perform stitching work.
It can be frustrating and take longer to perform stitching without it.

Use new stitching pony for new sun glass casing

Note however the design on the gripping part was overlook and can cause other issue.
Like uneven part the gripping part might "block" due to even surface of stitching parts.

Inner layer parts, layout the inner

parts to check it meet requirement. This is part of the process before gluing the parts together.

Punch hole with diamond chisel, with total 18 holes

Glue apply for inner layer, use a paper to mark off and minimize gule spread to other unwanted area.

Note the button post is installed before glue inner layer

Old Coin purse

Update 3rd May 2018.
       So happen during housekeeping got hold on an old coin purse fabricate around year 2000. It was one of the first few project.

This is my first project on coin purse without using diamond chisel to punch hole and use normal needle to sew and using normal thread material.

This is how my first few project done with limited knowledge and skill and limited tools to compare with current coin purse.

Compare to current coin purse there is a lot of difference. The difference is where I learn to improve and pay more attention as i move forward.

It very obvious as I learn new skill and method with correct tool the out come is very great changes.

Another older design coin purse project built during year 2016 era there are some
improvement but lack in the correct skill set on punch hole and stitches.

Some new idea for key chain for the strap instead of rivet have try out using thread .

Note the strap where the ring is attached use stitches and it less bulky compared to use of riveting method.
